Garcia & Artigliere Secured More than $72 Million for Clients in 2023
Garcia & Artigliere is proud to announce that in the year 2023 alone in cases in which Garcia & Artigliere served as counsel in trial and/or litigation the firm was able to acquire over $72 million in recoveries on behalf of its aggrieved clients of the firm.
These recoveries including multi-million dollar recoveries on behalf of individual plaintiff’s; and class actions where minimum staffing requirements were agreed upon in over 70 California skilled nursing facilities which exceed the minimum staffing requirements of existing law and as against a chain for defrauding the taxpayers of the United States. Among those awards were:
- $12,000,000 settlement against Rechnitz nursing facilities in California – a settlement which requires those facilities to increase their staffing beyond the minimum set by law to afford better care to their residents.
- $3,300,000 in lawsuits on behalf of nursing home residents who developed avoidable decubitus ulcers.
- $1,400,000 for a minor child whose surgery was botched.
- $1,600,000 in lawsuits on behalf of nursing home victims who were assaulted, physically and sexually.
- $1,150,000 in lawsuits on behalf of nursing home victims who suffered injuries in falls.
